Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born 20th of August 1974 in Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams was raised in Italy while her father served with the U.S. military and she grew up in Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven children. In the early 1990s, Adams started dancing and performing professionally for Boulder's Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. Then she moved to Minnesota and was made a part of Drop Dead Gorgeous, a mock documentarian film about beauty contests. After her screen debut that was successful with the role of an annoying but pleasant contestant, Janet relocating from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began an acting career professionally. Her husband was actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was she was the mom of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Her film career started in late 1940s after she was hired by MGM. Her name was noticed by Norma shearer. She starred in a number of films that became popular over the following decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) as well as Living It Up (1954) with Martin Lewis.
