Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to score a 10 for competing in the Olympics. Bela Karalyi was introduced to Comaneci at age six. Comaneci would go on to be Romania's gymnastics coach. She first competed at the national junior championships in Romania in 1969, she was 13th. In 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. In her very first international event in 1972 she took the top spot by winning three gold awards. In her very first competition in senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals, as well being awarded a silver. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first woman in history to complete the backward double salto in an unmounting from uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment field by performing in the form of a figure skater. Along with her brother Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her entertainment career during her teenage years. Early on, Carol began as a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
