April Lockhart
April Lockhart was born on July 4, 1995. The seventh grade was when she began playing guitar and piano lessons, sparking her interest in the art of songwriting. at the age of 12, April wrote her first tune Different. As a teenager, April spent a lot of time in writing music ideas and practicing musical skills. Her writing began alongside her dad on the streets of NY and LA just a few months later. April started to include other subjects in her book Take My Hand to help her friends who were dealing with peer pressure, disabilities and even suicide. Lockhart is a partner at popular clean beauty brand Ilia and is a lifestyle influencer with an increasing following of her own. Lockhart was born with no left hand. It's part of who she's become, but it's far from the entirety of her story. Because of this, her Instagram profile does not shy away from the fact that she is disabled, but the focus isn't on it either. The point? The message? That we have many different aspects, that the identities we have and our physical bodies may not be as they appear. I do not want this to define me I don't want to become a disability advocate in the sense that I only talk about since there are many other aspects to me Lockhart shares her thoughts via video from her home in Nashville. It doesn't impact my daily activities. I conduct my business as usual and have discovered my own methods to adjust. Because it's also a component of who I am, it's something that's worth discussing. Self-acceptance runs for life but Lockhart is an absolute inspiration for this aspect. Lockhart admits that she goes through phases when it comes to her body. She felt unsure about certain clothes which showed her arms. She wears whatever she wants and posts photos of herself wearing the clothes she selects to share on social networks. The journey itself is the key thing I don't know that you ever arrive her self-love statement. That's my opinion. everyone with whatever their insecurity may be. It's important to have people that know and understand you. They'll be able to remind you of what you are worried about.
